Category Description:
Curliss Road is another well known spot on the Peavine. There are two sets of corssing on Curliss Road. To the south, the mainline crosses. The tracks are stright through this stretch, and has leveled off for eastbound trains after topping Batavia Hill.
A few hundred feet north is the siding back to Batavia Transmission. Today, you can watch the CCET swith Huhtamaki and a company named Mt. Carmel, which I think receives bulk construction materials like sand or aggregates. There is a small pull off where you can usually park and take in the action.
I don't have the depth to separate the two crossings properly. So on the layout, the tracks are a little closer together and there is a lack of growth between the pulloff and the main. But the basic layout of Curliss is represented on the layout.
