Category Description:
Huhtamaki may be the company that saved the Peavine. At a time when things looked bleak, and my next real chance to ride on the Peavine was going to be by bicycle, Huhtamaki took over the old Ford Plant and began receiving regular car loads of paper to make disposable dinner wear. I have never been such a huge fan of paper plates in my life.

I had already committed to keeping Ford in their rightful home. But I was not willing to discare the biggest customer on the Peavine today (forgive me Winchester Grain if that is in error). The building of the Purina plant and the creation of the Afton Industrial park gave me the perfect place to relocate Huhtamaki. On the Peavine Division layout, Huhtamaki will use a spur parallel to the Purina spur. This keep Huhtamaki in Afton and give representation to the industrial park.
