Short Line Railroad Action, Train In Mount Orab Ohio, 3 Classic Locomotives Pull Long Train For CCET

3 awesome older locomotives pull a long mixed freight on an Ohio Short Line Railroad. The train is pulling hard on a rainy day on the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. It is train time in Mount Orab, Ohio on the Norfolk Southern Peavine Line. This is ex Norfolk & Western Railway territory. I have seen N&W trains and NS trains on this line long before CCET. I'm glad this line is still open. NS cut the line so today it is a dead end branch line. Mount Orab is a pretty nice little town. It wouldn't be the same without the railroad. The line was closed for almost a year through Mount Orab but it is now open from Mile Post 9 at Mariemont, Ohio to about Mile Post 78.445. Mount Orab is where I do my shopping and my farm is not far from there.
The train in this video was filmed on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.
One other thing. I get the following question a lot. What is the ticking sound that the locomotives make? Answer: The sound you hear is the moisture being blown out. The more humid it is, or the more loosely the valve is set, the more frequently it will blow out, which when happening rapidly makes a clicking sound. Blowing out the moisture helps prevent damage.

CCET trains operate on 160.860 and rarely ever use an EOT. Trains normally operate Monday through Friday during regular business hours although they can operate any time that a customer needs a switch. CCET leases 69+ route miles of track from Norfolk Southern and has miles of sidings and storage tracks.
