Huge Rusty Trestle Finally Sees Another Train! Storage Car Train Shoves Across Trestle Near End

Video posted to Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Fan Facebook Group by Brian Gibson. Description from You Tube Page.
Rusty old railroad trestle near the end of the line finally sees a train! Another huge storage train move on this short line railroad branch near Cincinnati. This ex Norfolk & Western Railway line, owned by Norfolk Southern is leased to Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. Today they were moving about a mile of TTX flat cars past Plum Run to the far eastern end of the line. This is only my second video of a train crossing this trestle over Cedar Fork Creek. A few weeks ago when they ran a train over this trestle I did not film here but I filmed the train at Seaman and Lawshe, Ohio. Today I filmed this train being shoved under Nixon Ave in Peebles and then shoved over this huge trestle near Hanson quarry. I also went to the other side of the trestle to film the locomotives returning westbound after completing their move. The locomotives ran light back across the trestle and shut down by the crossing in front of Hanson on Plum Run Road. Near the end of this video I show downtown Peebles where they use to load untreated railroad ties onto flat cars and gondolas. The track is sunken into the dirt and the lot is now vacant. I also show a flashback video that I made of the very last train to use that track back on April 24, 2014. That was the very last Norfolk Southern train to ever run on this line. Today, this end of the line is used for railroad car storage and the quarry is also planned to reopen for railroad car loading. The quarry has two long sidings with one track containing 13 CCET gondola cars. To skip to the locomotives shoving on the trestle go to 8:27. I know this video is boring to most people but not to me because this trestle does not see much action. At times it has gone years without a wheel rolling over it. Norfolk Southern cut this line to through trains in 2003. The signals that you see bagged in my videos were turned off in 2005. The very last train that NS ran on this Peavine line was on April 25, 2014 and then CCET took over. Originally CCET was called Cincinnati East Terminal Railway. See my playlists for videos of CCET using both names. This video was filmed May 6, 2020. Thanks for watching! Please Watch Another JawTooth Video! Every view helps support this channel.
