N&W Ry locomotive No.606, a class J 4-4-2 built in 1903 seen here at Peebles, Ohio circa 1909. No.606 was mostly a passenger class locomotive. This is the third photograph that I know of where 606 is either at Portsmouth or on the Cincinnati District. In the first comment below I’ll include a link to another photograph. Make sure to look at the first comment in that post, it will take you to a post that has the history of N&W No.606 class J. Class J’s existed long before the streamlined class J’s most folks are familiar with.
