Final trains using these unusual locomotives on this short line railroad branch. Cincinnati Eastern Railroad is replacing them with 2 General Electric B36-7 locomotives from the TransKentucky Transportation System Incorporated Railroad ( TTI ). The GE units are already on the property. Frontier Rail still has partial ownership in the new shortline railroad so the GP49 units will probably go to around branch line. This info comes from railroad employees. This ex Norfolk & Western Railway line is owned by Norfolk Southern and they lease 69+ route miles to Cincinnati Eastern Railroad.
