Posted to Facebook History of the Peavine Group Page January 2, 2019 by Roger Myers. Description from post
Okay. Say Hello is Ms. Linda Binning. She was station agent at the Cohoon Station (technically across the East Fork of the Little Miami) in Perintown Clermont county sometime between 1918 and 1929. I'm sorry I cannot be more specific as my notes got scrambled a bit. I know the dates are correct as the American Railway Express sign above her head was a quasi-government agency that operated during that period under that name. It arose from Wwi government controls and was renamed in 1929 to the Railway Express Agency until it was shut down in 1975.
As for Ms. Binning I do not have any other information about her other than she was the first female station agent in Clermont County and her family owned much of the land between the railroad and the East fork. Leading to the road through there being named for them Binning Rd.
