 Mile post 12 west of Ancor, Ohio in 1954. Locomotive 2106 was a Y5, 2-8-8-2 wheel arraignment built at the Roanoke shops by the N&W in 1931. She was scrapped in July 1959. Y5 Locomotive numbers 2090 to 2100 (excluding 2092 that was destroyed in a wreck) were all updated to modern standards ten years later in 1940-41 and renumbered to 2100 series. Y5’s 2101 to 2109 were also updated in that same time period but got to retain their original road number which included 2106 photographed here
