Return To Gallery Menu   N&W 2106 Near Ancor Posted to History of the Peavine Railroad Facebook Group By Chad Fannin, February 15, 2020. Description from post. Mile post 12 west of Ancor, Ohio in 1954. Locomotive 2106 was a Y5, 2-8-8-2 wheel arraignment built at the Roanoke shops by the N&W in 1931. She was scrapped in July 1959. Y5 Locomotive numbers 2090 to 2100 (excluding 2092 that was destroyed in a wreck) were all updated to modern standards ten years later in 1940-41 and renumbered to 2100 series.
