Class As Doubleheading Batavia Hill
Posted to History of the Peavine Railroad Facebook Group By Roy Hord, December 3, 2019. Description from post.

Found this photo in my files. I scanned it from the original slide which I returned to its owner. I think it was taken by Jack Haap who is a fellow member of the Cincinnati Railroad Club. This freight is double headed by two Class A 2-6-6-4s. 1203 is in the lead and the other number is unknown. I originally thought the location was along Round Bottom Road but now I am not so sure. I think it may be between Batavia and Afton. Taken in the mid 1950's. Note the guardrails in the foreground. Thoughts anyone? Wish I had kept better notes.

[D Lamb Note: Comments on this post ultimately agreed the location was at the Old SR 32 overpass west of Afton]
