Builder Plate for No 1 (7544), Bonnie Prince Charlie
In August 2015, a business trip created an opportunity to do some railfanning in England. This shot is from the Didcot Railway Museum. The museum has a large collection of vintage British steam.
This is the builders plate for 7544, the Bonnie Prince Charlie inside the engine house at Didcot. Above this on the cab are the letters No. 1. I presume the 7544 is the actual number associated with this engine, and No.1 was used by the railroad or assigned at a later time. The 7544 could also be a sequence or serial number for the builder.
