Stairway to… Mariemont
Long before the conception of stair climbers and treadmills, one of the best ways to get your exercise for the day was to work for the N&W at Clare Yard and live in the village of Mariamont. This was the set of stairs from the rail yard up the bank going to the village. Unknown date and photographer, Ed Fannin collection.
