View From The Train

One of the wonderful things about the different tourist railroads in America is not only the great scenery you see, but the wide variety of scenery. There are a lot of shots of the surounding country side in this collection that hopefully give you a feel for what you can expect if you ever visit the Cumbres and Toltec.
This shot is interesting because you can see the tracks in the foreground and then running off in the distance. The tracks loop back and forth at this point to gain (or lose) elevation. The location is called Tanglefoot Curve, and is just east of Cumbres Pass.
