Old State Route 32 Bridge
This is my model of the Old State Route 32 Bridge at the west end of Afton. The scene is based on a photo by Jeff Wood ( Click Here) of the original bridge at this location. When I went to research the site for the layout, the bridge had been rebuilt to a modern style with solid concrete walls. Jeff's photo confirm how I thought the bridge looked from memory. And the angle of Jeff's shot lines up perfectly with the location on my layout.

The bridge is a Rix Product early highway kit, cut to fit the location. From Jeff's pic, I think the beams are blue, but they are very faded in the prototype. This is the sort of detailing and weathering project I’m going to save for the future after the layout is operational.
