Longest Rock Train Yet With 3 Matching Locomotives Make Rails Sing On Cincinnati Eastern Railroad!
Video posted to fb by Jaw Tooh on October 9, 2022. Description from You Tube post…

3 Locomotive Heavy Rock Train On Short Line Railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad! This is the longest one yet that I have seen on this Norfolk Southern branch line in southern Ohio. Running long hood forward over the first railroad crossing near Mount Orab, Ohio. Then they snake around the "S" curves in Williamsburg, Ohio as they lean into the hill. Listen to the sound of the locomotives and listen to the sound of the rails as they sing after the train passes by. We get to see both sides of the train as they pull a loaded train westbound. The first 2 cars are loaded with raw railroad ties that came from the new customer in Peebles, Ohio. McCoy Lumber has its own siding in Peebles. The rest of the train is loaded with rock from Hanson quarry in Plum Run, Ohio. Plum Run is just a couple of miles east of Peebles and this is the quarry that recently went back to shipping by rail. The rock shuttle runs from here to Roundbottom Road in Milford, Ohio. The shuttle is somewhere around 60 miles. One of my previous videos lists the exact distance by rail. The hopper cars used in the rock shuttle train never leave the Peavine Line. Notice how all 3 locomotives have a matching paint scheme. The first locomotive is an SD40-2 and the other 2 units are GP15-1s. The company that owns CCET has another GP15-1 in matching paint that I have shown in my videos. That locomotive is based in Indiana on a branch line that was recently leased from Norfolk Southern. I was in New Castle, Indiana recently filming that. I will be returning soon for a better video there.

Trains on CCET operate on 160.860 and rarely use an end of train device. Normally they use a red flag at the end of the train unless the train is running at night or in poor visibility. We had just got home from a soccer game in Goshen when Mrs Tooth heard the train. Lillia played in this game and it turned out to be a 2 to 2 tie. A girl on Lillia's team accidentally scored an own goal against her own team so really, Goshen only got one goal against us. Lol. Btw, I was raised in Goshen and went to school there.

Filmed in 1080p with 60fps on Saturday, October 8, 2022AD

Thanks for watching! If you have time, please watch another video of mine to help keep my channel going. Every view helps support my channel. Viewing time helps pay for gas, motels, rental cars etc. I have a list of places that I plan on filming so watch another video of mine if you have the time.
