Trains At The Railroad Wye In Sardinia On Short Line Railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad & Chase
Video published to youtube on March 20, 2023 by Jaw Tooth. Description from post.

Short Line Railroad Cincinnati Eastern Railroad & Locomotives At The Railroad Wye! Grain Train Running Long Hood Forward With ex Maintenance Of Way Equipment Gondola Cars On The Rear. This is a train chase and look at the railroad wye. How many CCET locomotives do you count in this video? Some of the locomotives and the caboose in this video are no longer on the line. This is an ex Norfolk & Western Railway line that is owned by Norfolk Southern Railroad. This is the Peavine Line and it use to go all the way from Cincinnati to Portsmouth, Ohio. Today, the last 26 miles or so are out of service. This line came close to being abandoned but is safe today.

The train in this video is an eastbound empty train. It ran to Sardinia and did some switching to add rock cars and then shut down. The following day the train will continue on all the way to Plum Run to spot rock cars for loading. The other Geep was not added. I filmed them the following day and that video will be out soon. Part 2 shows them going through Macon, switching in Winchester and passing near Seaman, Ohio.

Filmed Monday, March 20, 2023 in 1080p with 60fps. Thanks for watching!
