I went to Norfolk Southern Clare Yard in Mariemont, Ohio to show how NS and CCET swap cars. The railroad interchange here is where CCET starts leasing 69+ route miles. Mile Post 9 on the Peavine Line as you will see is the start of CCET track that runs all the way to Jaybird Road at Mile Post 78.455 near Plum Run, Ohio.
I was hoping the train would show up in the morning but they were running late. They started their day near Winchester, Ohio. Eventually, I went looking for the train and found them at Afton Yard near Williamsburg. The video shows me chase the train back to Clare Yard. Notice the train swapping cars and then return eastbound over the giant railroad bridge over the Little Miami River. There were 18 cars delivered westbound and 23 cars taken back eastbound. The train ended the day just east of Newtown, Ohio at a spot known as Ancor. This is rare video footage of train action at Clare. I challenge anyone to find a video of a CCET train going over the Little Miami River bridge. It is a very long walk to get here legally. The public hiking trails actually cross the tracks.
A couple of corrections: Norfolk Southern switches the place with the tank cars, not I&O. The freight cars are cleaned here for P&G and not transloaded.
