Grain Train at Batavia, OH in 2010
A Norfolk Southern train is headed east across the East Fork River at Batavia in March 2010. By this time, traffic on the line was greatly reduced, and train sightings were becoming rare. I treated every train I saw as the last I'd ever see. I spotted this train on my drive home from work as we were both entering Newtown. I ran home quickly and grabbed by camera. My wife came along, we beat the train by several minutes… long enough that I feared we'd missed it. This was three years prior to the CCET.
