Pulling A Long Cut From Buckeye Mills
One of my concerns with having a switching layout was the inability to run long trains. While this may not dismiss those concerns for everyone, one thing I discovered quickly is cuts of eight, nine, ten cars are not uncommon when switching Buckeye Mills. Here, nine cars are pulled from the spur for switching. If this is one of your concerns with having a switching layouts, know that you can move long cuts of cars, and because it is in line with your operating scheme, it is totally legitimate to do so.
