WESTERN OHIO PEAVINE DIVISION |
|
The Western Ohio Peavine Division is based on the Norfolk Southern's line between Cincinnati and Portsmouth. The layout is in the very early
stages of construction.
The real "Peavine", so nicknamed for its winding, twisting route across southwest Ohio, offers a wide variety of modeling opportunites.
Slight (and not so slight) revesions to history blend the Peavine into the fabric of the Western Ohio Railway system. Hopefully
this layout will make the transition from paper to plywood in the very near future.

WESTERN OHIO MARIEN INDUSTRIAL DIVISION |
|
The Western Ohio Marien Industrial District layout is a 2 x 16 layout depicting the industries in the freelanced town of Marien, OH.
The Marien Industrial District layout has been displayed at the NMRA Division 7 trainshow in Cincinnati several times. The layout features
five industries serviced by the Western Ohio, anchored by the large Buckeye Mills cereal complex. All freight inbound and outbound is sorted
at Marien Yard.
The Marien Industrial District was dismantled in December 2018 to make way for work on the permanent Peavine Division. The layout served me well,
and what could be preserved was. Thanks for the memories Marien Industrial District.

WESTERN OHIO OFFAL, IN BRANCH |
|
The Western Ohio Offal, IN branch line is a freelanced concept for modeling the industries associated with meat packing.
The inspiration for this design comes from thirteen years working in the meat packing industry. While most of the logistics associated
with meat packing is handled by truck these days, emplying a little modler's license creates numerous opportunities to use rail
service instead.
