So I've been a bit of a bum this preseason. Just not keeping up on things. One of the things I missed is Hall of Fame weekend. So I'm going to squeeze it in on this opening weekend of the season with this article.

Because it is the lead, I am going to start with the TFFL Hall of Fame inductees. Sadly, this year's winners may never know about the distinction bestowed upon them, as both are retired owners, absent from the league for many years.

You can see the Hall of Fame at http://www.dlamb15.com/hof

2003 BLITZKRIEG
Remember back in the day, before the off years, brothers Jeff and Scott Meyer were very good owners in the league. Scott ultimate would have more success than Jeff, but Jeff's 2003 Blitzkrieg team was a powerhouse.

2003 Blitzkrieg went 11-3 in the regular season. Two more playoff wins got them to 13 wins for the season. This puts them tied for fifth on the all time single season wins list. They also won the Vince Lombardi division and Team of the Year.

Blitzkrieg advance to the LCFFL Championship Game IX, where their dream season would come to a disappointing close. The X-Terminators, owned by brother Scott, beat Blitzkrieg 86-60 to win their first league championship.

STUART HARTMAN
This almost feels like it is overdue. And yet at the same time there is a major blemish on the resume.

For the first ten seasons, the team that went by the name Gazintas the last five years was a steady, reliable and dominant force in the league. At least in the regular season.

In his ten seasons, Stuarts team's made the playoffs all ten years. Six of those campaigns ended with division titles, a mark that only four teams have matched or exceeded, and Stuart has been out of the league for fifteen seasons!

So how in the world did Stuart not make the HOF sooner? All ten of those playoff seasons ended in a loss. Matter of fact, Stuart's teams only reached the league championship one time, at the end of the 1996 season in bigg's bowl II.

It is peculiar that a team could have so much regular season success and never fall into a championship. But at long last, Stuart takes his place among the greats in the TFFL.

ALL TIME HALL OF FAME

LARRY FITZGERALD
Feeling old yet. I bet a lot of you remember Larry Fitzgerald playing for Pitt in 2003. Larry's entire NFL career was spent in Arizona playing for the Cardinals. From 2004 to 2020, Larry was one of the premier wide receivers in the NFL. His touchdown late in Super Bowl XLIII nearly won the Cardinals their first championship.

Larry is the first Arizona Cardinal to enter our All-Time Hall of Fame, joining an elite roster of wide receivers already enshrined.

OZZIE NEWSOME
Long before he was one of the best General Managers in the NFL, Ozzie Newsome was a premier Tight End for the Cleveland Browns. Newsome played thirteen seasons in Cleaveland, and was a multi time All Pro and Pro Bowler.

Newsome is the second Cleveland Brown in our All Time Hall of Fame.

ADRIAN PETERSON
Adrian Peterson was a men among boys, beating his opponents into submission like they were small children. OK, that's a low blow, I'll admit it. But for several years, Peterson was the running back to have. A quick check of draft history shows that in the seven years from 2010 to 2016, Peterson was the number one overall pick four times and twice the second pick.

Peterson played in the NFL from 2007 to 2021. Most of his seasons, and all of his best seasons, were in Minnesota with the Vikings. But the last five years he bounced around with six different teams.

Peterson is the fourth Minnesota Viking in the All-Time Hall of Fame, joining Cris Carter, Randy Moss and Fran Tarkenton. This makes the Vikings one of the best represented teams in the Hall of Fame.

TFFL HALL OF FAME

As a reminder, the difference between the All-Time Hall of Fame and the TFFL Hall of Fame is the All-Time HOF goes back to the start of the Super Bowl era in 1966 while the TFFL HOF only includes season that the TFFL played.

JERRY RICE
This might catch you by surprise in a couple of ways, depending on your perspective of NFL history. Some of you may be surprised to see Rice in the TFFL HOF since many of you remember his playing days from the 1980s. But Jerry Rice was so good, he makes the HOF with less than half his career stats.

That's right. Rice's first eleven seasons, 1985 to 1995, are not counted in his TFFL HOF number. While our league started in 1995, no player stats were kept. So Rice's in based solely on his production from 1996 to 2004.

Rice's best fantasy season was in 1996, the first year we had player stats. Rice spent that season playing for Stuart Hartman’s Travelling Wilberries.

JASON WITTEN
Jason Witten was a premier tight end for many seasons. Steady and reliable, he compiled enough stats to rank him among the best fantasy players in league history. Never as flashy as some of the other big name tight ends, Witten could always be trusted for consistent stats.

Witten's best season in the TFFL was in 2010. He scored 154 fantasy points playing for Dans Destroyers. That was the last time the Destroyers won the league championshi
