Did I tell you that I hate it when this happens. For the second straight week, the second highest scoring team in the league loses to the Team of the Week. This time, it was Cincinnati Brown beating Dans Destroyers 161-129. Saquon Barkley had 31. Kirk Cousins and Chase Brown had 25 and 21 respectively. Brown is now 6-3, tied with the Oky Ducks for first place in the Paul Brown division and for the best record in the league.

It will make many of you happy that Joe Burrow was Player of the Week. He scored 41 in the Warriors 113-76 victory over the Kentucky Moondogs. The Warriors are 5-4, tied for first in the Lombardi division.

No close games this week, everybody won by ten or more. The next best performing teams each had 112. First, The Flippin Birds beat the Great Dismall Swamp Monsters 112-98. Derrick Henry scored 25 for the Birds. The Birds are 5-4 and in first Halas division. They are the highest scoring team in the league, now with over 1,000 points scored in nine games.

IGotBoom beat the Renegades 112-87. Lamar Jackson teamed up with wide receiver Zay Flowers for 29 and 26 points for Boom. Boom is the team tied with the Warriors for first in the Lombardi division and they have the tie breaker on points scored.

Multiple Scoregasms also had 112. The beat the Oky Ducks 112-69. Mike Gesicki was the top scoring player for the Scoregasms. Mike Gesicki! Didn’t have that on my bingo card. The Ducks are still 6-3, still with the best record in the league. Scoregasms is now 4-5 after a slow start, and in strong position to defend their back to back championships.

The Milford Marauders turned the Halas division into a traffic jam, beating the Scammers 108-96. The Marauders get to 5-4, the Scammers drop to 5-4, and both are behind the Flippin Birds, who are also 5-4. Three teams tied with five games remaining. The Marauders got 30 from Josh Allen and 21 from Alvin Kamara in the win.

SURVIVOR
96 isn’t a terrible score. But when Survivor is down to four, it isn’t good either. The Scammers posted that 96 point total, and that gets them eliminated from Survivor Island.

INJURED RESERVE RULE QUESTION
I had a question this week about when you can use the IR rule. My answer comes from the “ESPN Fantasy Football Support”, which is NOT on your “MY TEAM” page, but is at the bottom right of the “MATCH UP” page. You can find the full answer by
1. Click on Fantasy Football Support
2. Search for IR
3. Select Players on Injured Reserve (IR)

The following is pasted from the middle of this article…

After the IR tag appears next to that player's name, you'll be able to send him to an IR slot on your roster, but only if your league make use of that clutch feature
NOTE: In FFL players with either the Out (O) or Injured/Reserve (IR) status may be placed into the IR slot
NOTE: Suspended players (SSPD) are NOT eligible for IR on FFL.
In short, you can put any player who is OUT or IR in an injured reserve spot. Hope that helps.

GAME OF THE WEEK
We have a good slate of games this week. Three games feature two teams with winning records. I’m gonna pick the Cincinnati Brown game versus the Warriors. Brown is 6-3, coming off a huge Team of the Week where they posted the second highest score this year.

The Warriors are coming off a Player of the Week performance by stud quarterback Joe Burrow. I certainly like Burrow over Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rodgers. But Brown has a currently hot running back in Saquon Barkley. This should be a really good game between these top teams.
