This may be a first in the year’s I’ve written articles. A kicker was the highest scoring player on the Team of the Week. Even on a kicker’s best day, a QB, RB or WR is likely to outscore them. But not this week. Not if you’re Happy.

Happy was the top scoring team in both league’s in week one, beating Kickin Chicken 131-87. A rather rude introduction for Kickin Chicken to our league. Jake Moody, the 49er kicker, really was the top scoring player with 26. That’s six field goals, including two fifty yarders and a couple extra points.

While Moody’s game was great, it was only great for a kicker. No where near Player of the Week levels. That went to Josh Allen of the Secret Scammers, who went to bed Monday night thinking they were going to be TOW, only to get booted out of the top spot by Moody. Allen had 37 for the Scammers to lead the Scammers to a 121-67 victory over Bane.

The best game of the week included a little taunting. Momball dropped Shakedown 107-102. And then had the audacity to come in Monday morning and tell Shakedown that he needed five points Monday night knowing full well Shakedown was out of players. You’re just lucky there are no sportsmanship awards in fantasy football, Momball.

Titans King-less Court opened the season strong with a 118-75 win over Error 404. Anthony Richardson had 32 in the win for the Titans. And Error 404, like Kickin Chicken, open their EWFFL career with a loss.

Not all Beercats blow a twenty one point lead. Heck, I don’t even know if these Beercats had a twenty one point lead. The didn’t need it. The Beercats defeated Car Ramrod 107-93 to open their season with a big Shula division win.

Down the Drain took their name a little to literally, and got transformed into a 94-68 loser versus Transformation Worldwide. Tua Tagovailoa was the leading scorer for the victorious Worldwide.

SURVIVOR
Remember Survivor. Well, we are wasting no time casting someone adrift. Or maybe I should say someone is getting Bane-ished. 67 points in your season opener gets you an early trip to Davey Jones locker.

DIGITALLY ALTERED
The Digital Scammers were the pride of the BMFFL in week one. They beat the Cincinnati Eagles 125-71. Anthony Richardson was the Scammers leading scorer with 32. Tyreek Hill did his best Hudini to escape police handcuff and still post 19.

Player of the Week didn’t change between league. The Old England Patriots were unable to capitalize on Josh Allen’s big game. The fell to Prestige Worldwide 118-97. Lamar Jackson did a pretty good job off setting Allen, and the Bears Defense added another 24 to lead the way for Worldwide.

Grande Fantasmas showed how its done under pressure. They captured a 106-100 win over the Gritz Blitz Falcon in an important Paul Brown division game. Jordan Love had 22 for the victorious Fantasmas.

The Boiz are in the win column! They beat Rimski’s Raiders 96-85. Joe Mixon took a liking to his new home in Texas. He scored 23 for the Boiz. You can be sure the Raiders coaching staff will be having a little conversation with their QB Patrick Mahomes, who had a poultry 18 points.

The Ohio State Buckeyes beat a team from that state up north. No, not that team. That team is still picking longhorn splinters out of their backside. No, the Buckeyes beat the Willow Run Flyers 90-75. Jalen Hurts was the star of the game for the Buckeyes with 26.

Last but certainly not least, Steel City FooBall is back to winning. They defeated Florida SeaBreeze 86-68. CJ Stround led Fooball with 22, and were matched by the Viking Defense.

SURVIVOR
Well that blows. Can I say that. Oh yeah, its my web site.

What I mean is the first team off Survivor Island in the BMFFL is Florida Seabreeze. 68 points in your season opener gets you an early trip to Davey Jones locker. (now where have a I read that before?).

GAME OF THE WEEK
I gotta be honest. It is too early for a game of the week. There just isn’t enough information to pick out one matchup that is better than the others.

Check in with me next week.

FREE AGENTS
Just a reminder for those new to the league or those who don’t remember. On Tuesday’s you can request free agents to replace injured and underperforming players. Players picked up on Tuesday go through a waiver process that runs overnight. On Wednesday morning, players are available first come- first serve.

If you have any questions about this process, please let me know.
