Car Ramrod showed dominant form beating Transformation Worldwide and earning Team of the Week honors 137-71. Jamar Chase pulled off the rare feet of winning Player of the Week from the wide receiver position. Chase had 44 points on Thursday night. Jalen Hurts added 37 more. Both of these teams are now 6-4 and in second place in their divisions.
Shakedown continues to battle back from a slow start, and have themselves very much in playoff contention. Shakedown beat Titans Kingless Court 90-81. There were no outstanding players in this game, nobody scored twenty points. Didn’t matter to shakedown who are not 4-6.
Will somebody give the Chicken a break. Not Bane. Bane beat Kicken Chicken 122-101. Kicken Chicken has had eighty more points scored against them than any other team, and more than one hundred points more scored against then than ten teams. That eight and ten points per game respectively. This team is better than 2-8. But you are what your record says you are, and Bane dropped Kicken Chicken behind strong games from Brock Purdy and Chuba Hubbard.
Three eights beat three sevens. The Beercats would have won if this was poker too. The Beercats beat the Scamers 88.8 to 77.7. The Beercats are the best team in the EWFFL. Joe Burrow scored 41. No other player got to double digits. There has to be some grounds for a protest here.
Down the Drain now has a two game lead in the Lombardi division after beating Error 404 101-38. Lamar Jackson had 40 and the Philly defense had 20 more. Lamar Jackson single handedly beat Error 404. Ouch.
Happy got to 6-4 with a victory over Happy. Another game where nobody had a good game. These teams are the epitome of location location location. Both are 6-4. Momball is in first place, Happy is in third. But Happy is in a good spot for a wildcard position.
FLYERS SHOOT DOWN SEA BREEZE
Its been a rough season for the Willow Run Flyers. Usually among the top teams, 2024 has been a battle. But they elevated their game this week, beating SeaBreeze 122-70. Led by Jamar Chase’s 44, the win was the Flyers third of the year, and keeps them on the fringe of the playoff race.
Prestige Worldwide won the best game of the week, beating the Baloony Boiz 109-106. This was a really good quarterback duel, with Lamar Jackson out gunning Kyler Murray 40-30. Both teams are in second place in their respective divisions.
Gritz Blitz came down off their hot run, but only a little bit. The Falcons beat the Old England Patriots 110-104. Joe Burrow had 40. Calvin Ridley had 20 for the Falcons. This keeps the Falcons in first place in the Paul Brown division.
Steel City FooBall stakes a claim to the best team in the BMFFL. They beat the Scammers 85-77. For two teams that entered 7-2, it was a pretty lame performance. No players scored twenty points in the game. Steel City FooBall is now 8-2 and a virtual lock for the playoffs.
The Eagles advanced to 6-4, knocking off Rimski Raiders 92-76. Bijan Robinson led the way with 26. Jared Goff had 21. Despite the winning record, the Eagles are mired down in third place in the Lombardi division.
And the Ohio State Buckeyes got 37 from Jalen Hurts to beat Grande Fantasmas 95-59. The win pulls the Buckeyes even with Fantasmas and all the other teams at 4-6. Those teams at 4-6 are all tied for the last playoff spot.
SURVIVOR
I didn’t forget survivor. But I am doing a combined Survivor because we have reached a pivotal point in Survivor. We are down to two teams from each league, and now we bring them together to determine a single sole survivor.
But first the eliminations from this week. From the EWFFL, Momball came in with a poor game and has been eliminated. And the BMFFL offering to Survivor island was a really tough one. All three teams remaining scored over one hundred points. But the team that is eliminated is the Old England Patriots with 104.
So the final four Survivors are…
Beercats
Gritz Blitz Falcons
Kickin Chicken
Prestige Worldwide
Good luck to the four finalist.
GAME OF THE WEEK
The game of the week sees our defending Team of the Week travelling to Happy. Both teams are 6-4, and are tied in the Don Shula division. Jalen Hurts is coming off a huge game and will be under center for Car Ramrod. JaMarr Chase will look to repeat his amazing game from week ten.
Happy will counter with Daniel Jones at QB. Justin Jefferson is the top wide out and will try to offset Jamarr Chase. Both of these are in pretty good position for a playoff spot, but need one more win to be comfortable.
